A new, FREE temporary park and ride site will be opened on the day to help with the large number of visitors expected in the town.
It means there will be three park and ride sites operating in Scarborough on Armed Forces Day that will allow visitors to park up and get a bus into the centre of town.
North Yorkshire County Council will be operating sites in Filey Road and Seamer Road.
A new, FREE temporary park and ride site will be opened on the day at playing fields between St Leonard’s Crescent and the old Scarborough to Whitby railway track, off Barrowcliff Road (Postcode for sat navs – YO12 6SR)

It will provide space for approximately 2,000 cars with buses to take people down to the seafront operated by EYMS.
The park and ride will be open between 9am and 8pm and will be signposted from Scalby Road.
Buses will run from Maple Drive every 15 minutes from 9am until 7.45pm with return buses leaving from Royal Albert Drive every 15 minutes from 9.20am until 8pm.
The normal Park and Ride services at Filey Road and Seamer road will be operating as per their usual timetable with the last buses at 6:45pm.
People travelling by car to the Armed Forces Day event are being advised to use the Park and Ride services as a number of Scarborough cap parks will be closed on the 25th including Spa Drive and car park, Spa Forecourt car park, West Pier Car Park, Quay Street Car Park and Eastborough Car Park.
