Scarborough Cricket Club have announced the departure of CEO Mr Rob Richtering.
Rob has worked for the Club since 2016 and managed the transition of accounting and administration practices at the Club. His hard work over those years has had a huge impact on the way the Club has been able to move forward.
Many members will be aware of the very difficult challenges the Club has had to cope with over the last 18 months. The below average crowds at every match staged during 2021 coupled with the increased expense of Covid-19 restrictions will result in significant losses for this financial year. So the Club is in the process of carrying out a full structural review to plan for the challenges ahead.
Against this background Rob Richtering has agreed to take voluntary redundancy.
Scarborough Cricket Club would like to thank Rob for his tireless work during his time with us. His recent illness has meant Rob has had his own challenges to face. They say they wish him well for the future and good health.
In the meantime the Club would like to assure members that the Board continue to work hard planning for next year and beyond.
