Years of neglect- that's what a Scarborough councillor has accused leaders of presiding over.
It's amid concern about toilet facilities on Scarborough's West Pier.
Engineers visited Building Number One with the site part of a wider regeneration of that area.
Here's Councillor Rich Maw:
"Fencing installed around the now-defunct building wall, closing the busiest toilets in North Yorkshire and that's following years of neglect.
"How does this fit into this strategy? I don't know if it does or if it can, but I will say we need those public toilets reinstated asap."
North Yorkshire Council cited structural problems for the closure and are currently conducting an investigation into the toilets' sandstone and the apex on the roof.
They say facilities at Vincent Pier and St Nicholas Gardens remain open.
