A care home in Old Malton is inviting the local community to join residents, families and staff for an afternoon of traditional fete fun while raising money for Malton Community Hospital.
Manor Park Care Home, part of Sandstone Care Group, will host its ‘Fun at the Fete’ event on Saturday, 5 September, from 2pm to 4pm at the home on Town Street.
The family-friendly afternoon will feature traditional games and stalls, including Hook-a-Duck, alongside homemade cakes and treats, with visitors of all ages welcome to join in the fun.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Fitzwilliam Ward at Malton Community Hospital, supporting a cause close to the local community.
Home manager Laura Clegg said:
“We’re really looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming people from Old Malton and the surrounding area for what we hope will be a lovely afternoon.
“Our residents really enjoy events which bring together families, friends and people from the wider community, and there is always such a great atmosphere when the home is full of visitors.
“We also wanted the afternoon to have a wider purpose, so we’re delighted to be raising funds for Fitzwilliam Ward at Malton Community Hospital. It is an important local service and one that means a great deal to many families in our area.
“We hope lots of people will come along, enjoy some traditional fun and homemade treats, meet our residents and team and help us support a wonderful local cause at the same time.”
The fete is open to everyone and there is no need to book in advance.
Visitors are asked to bring cash for the stalls, games and refreshments.
