A new government initiative to help young people find jobs has been used successfully by a Scarborough firm.
Young adults are thought to be one of the groups hardest hit by the lockdowns when it comes to jobs.
Many have either had their training programmes disrupted or been in jobs in sectors hardest hit by the effects of lockdown.
The government has responded by running a Kickstart programme which funds the creation of new jobs for 16-to-24 year olds.
One firm taking advantage of the scheme is Scarborough-based Furniture Works, they took on an 18-year-old assistant through the programme.
