A Scarborough based charity marathon runner says he's hanging up his running shoes after raising nearly £100k.
Neil Fitzpatrick ran his 10th and final marathon last weekend.
Over the last 8 years he's raised nearly £100k for Cancer Research through his marathons and fundraising balls.
Neil says last week's marathon in York was special.
Neil set himself the target of raising the £100k and says he now very close to that total.
His fundraising started when he released a song called 'Apart' back in 2008.
The Apart project was established in 2014 when Neil lost a friend, his mother-in-law, his Dad and sister-in-law to cancer in the space of a few years.
He wrote and released a song, called Apart, inspired by the loss he'd experienced, which was the basis for the Apart Project. Sales from the song raised in excess of £14,000, with the annual Apart Ball, donations and the efforts of other supporters bringing the total to date to a whopping £96,205.
