Scarborough Athletics Chairman says he's reassured by statements from the council that the repairs to the Scarborough Sports Village pitch are "on track".
The 3G pitch was found to have serious structural issues, forcing the football club to move to Bridlington for this season while multimillion pound repairs are carried out.
The council says a time-scale for the repair works will be confirmed in October and that's been welcomed by Trevor Bull.
"The whole process is incredibly frustrating, and of course we did know that the pre-work before any diggers got started on the pitch, that was, were quite immense. Because they've got one chance to get this right, so that they've got to do all the pre-work very carefully.
But the important thing for me is in that statement, they've said that they're still on track and on track means that we'll be back for next season. So if they're still saying that that's a great, it's great news. And we'll see what the timeline is when the publish is next month."
Local councillors were told at a recent meeting that the project to fix the pitch is on track. At a meeting of the Scarborough and Whitby Area Committee, Councillor David Chance read out a council update which stated it is working with contractor Willmott Dixon and a range of specialists on a "preferred technical option" and said "We should be able to give more information about the details early next month."
Matt Hewison, the council's Head of Sport, told councillors that a "productive meeting" was held with Willmott Dixon and said "they've promised us a timeline in a report by the end of October"
Trevor Bull says that despite the disruption, the club has enjoyed a strong start to the season on their temporary home pitch in Bridlington.
"We're overachieving at the moment. , since the opening day of the season we haven't lost in the league and of course really underpinned by the a hundred percent home record, we're the only team in the league that's achieved that. So yeah, it's, it is an unbelievable start to the season.
Fair play to Bridlington, they made us feel very welcome and the players enjoy playing on a grass pitch. It is it is been superb, it's a big pitch which suits, our style of play. So yeah it is going very well.
And I suppose another thing to point out is the improvement in our defence as well since last season, 'cause at the moment we're the second best defensive team in the league as well.
So yeah, a lot to be thankful for in the pitch. Jono is doing a great job."
