There has been an increase in the number of people in Scarborough Hospital with COVID.
The seven day COVID infection rate in the Scarborough Borough has been trending upwards over recent weeks.
The rate had been as low as 20 cases per 100,000 people a month ago, it reached 52 over the weekend before falling back to 47 yesterday.
Today the rate has increased again at at 50 per 100,000 people is now the highest in North Yorkshire and well above the all England average of 32.

North Yorkshire director of public health, Louise Wallace says it's too early to say if the four day weekend has had an effect on the numbers.
There are around 33 new cases of COVID-19 reported in North Yorkshire each day and although the number of people requiring hospital treatment in the Scarborough Borough is up by 4 from last week, Jane Hawkward from the NHS in the county says overall hospital cases are falling.
