12 to 15 year olds in the Scarborough Borough will be offered a COVID vaccine before the October Half term.
The vaccines are being delivered through a school based scheme.
Rebekah Taylor from North Yorkshire County Council's education department says parental consent will be required.
The rollouts come after the chief medical officers of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all recommended extending the vaccine offer to 12 to 15 year olds.
Pfizer vaccines are set to be given in schools, with special arrangements in place for young people not in mainstream education.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in North Yorkshire says the process of getting parental consent is now starting.
Secondary School children in the East Riding of Yorkshire will also be offered a vaccine jab before the October break.
East Riding Council Public Health Director Andy Kingdom said officials were aiming to launch the roll out of both the jabs for 12-15 year olds, and the booster programme for some adults this week.
