A number of car parks across the borough could attract government cash.
As world leaders meet in Glasgow to discuss climate change, Borough councillors in Scarborough have been discussing the lack of electric car charging points in the Borough.
Councillor Michelle Donahue Moncrieff is the cabinet member for the environment and sustainability, Michelle says work to secure government funding to install charging points in car parks is progressing.
A number of car parks in the Scarborough Borough could get government funding to install electric car charging points. A feasibility study is being prepared by the borough council to figure out which sites are viable.
Councillor Jane Mortimer hopes that smaller towns will also benefit and thinks provision for terraced houses also needs to be looked at.
