Scarborough Athletic have bolstered their squad with the signing of former Woking Football Club attacking midfielder Luke Hall ahead of their first pre-season fixture this weekend.
Scarborough Athletic have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Luke Hall, who joins the club following the expiry of his contract at Woking Football Club.
The Seadogs have secured the new addition to their squad just in time for their first pre-season fixture, which is set to take place this weekend at Tadcaster Albion, 1pm kick off.
Hall brings a wealth of experience to Scarborough, having begun his footballing journey through the academy system at Sheffield Wednesday. During his time there, his development saw him earn international recognition, representing the England national team at Under-15s level.
Following his progression into senior football, the attacking midfielder enjoyed several successful seasons playing for Worksop Town. During his time at Worksop, he played a key role in helping the team secure two promotions over the course of three seasons.
His impressive performances earned him a move into the full-time professional game with Woking Football Club. While contracted to Woking, Hall spent time away on loan at Buxton, before eventually returning to Worksop Town for a spell last season.
Following his first training session with his new teammates, Hall filmed an interview with Scarborough Athletic's Marketing Director, Chris Marson.
Speaking about his decision to join the Seadogs, Luke Hall said:
"I've played against the gaffer's teams a few times over the years and I've always liked how they play. I've also spoken to lads like Bailey Gooda and Mackenzie Maltby, and they both spoke so highly of the club. Even meeting a few of the lads already, it just seems like a really good environment."
The new signing also shared his enthusiasm regarding the club's return to their home ground for the upcoming campaign.
Luke Hall added:
"You can't really ask to come into a better situation. Everyone's going to be absolutely buzzing to be back home and I can't wait to see it rocking."
When questioned about his playing style and what the Scarborough Athletic supporters can expect to see from him on the pitch, the attacking midfielder was confident in his abilities.
Luke Hall explained:
"I like to think I'm exciting to watch. I try to get fans off their seats. I'm very direct, can play a few positions across the front line, and hopefully I'll bring goals and assists."
Ahead of the new season getting underway, the former Sheffield Wednesday academy prospect wanted to share a direct message with the loyal Scarborough Athletic fanbase.
Luke Hall said:
"Get yourselves down all season. Hopefully it's going to be a special year, and all the lads will be giving it absolutely 100%."
