Home football will return to Scarborough for the first time in over a year.
Scarborough Athletic are preparing to host League One opponents Barnsley in a highly anticipated pre-season friendly.
Advanced tickets are strictly required for entry to the match.
Club officials have confirmed that no ticket sales will take place on the day of the fixture, meaning supporters must secure their places ahead of time.
The visiting side will bring their full first team to the Yorkshire Coast to mark the special occasion.
The match is scheduled for a 1pm kick-off, offering a significant challenge for the home squad.
Scarborough Athletic chairman Trevor Bull said he cannot wait for the fixture and shared his thoughts on the upcoming game:
"The great news is that Barnsley have committed to bringing the first team so that's a draw, so we're hoping there'll be quite a lot of fans coming over from Barnsley for a day at the seaside, which will both to the crowd, and obviously both of the coffers as well. They're looking forward, and we are as well. It's it's a tough test, but yeah, as you say, it's it's it's a sort of almost not quite a Yorkshire Derby, but it's close."
A financial boost is expected for the club from the influx of visiting supporters travelling to the seaside.
The fixture promises a competitive atmosphere as both teams look forward to what has been described as an exciting test for Scarborough Athletic.
