Scarborough Athletic have announced that Sam Reed is joining the club on loan for the rest of the season from Sheffield Wednesday.
The tall left back, 21, started out with Brighouse in non-league as a 16 year old before being offered a professional contract with EFL side, Sheffield Wednesday.
Sam has recently spent time on loan at Boston United in the National League this season.
Boro have thanked Sheffield Wednesday for their support in facilitating the loan move which is subject to EFL, FA and National League approval.
At the same time the club have announced the departure of Michael Woods, who leaves the club by mutual consent.
The experienced midfielder, who joined from Blyth Spartans in December, has had his registration terminated by mutual consent and leaves the club amicably for personal reasons related to travel.
