Jono Greening's men fell behind early on at Darlington, inside 12 minutes, but quickly hit back through a bizarre own goal.
On-loan Sheffield United defender Jack Waldron then put the Seadogs in front for the first time.
However, a goal just before half-time and two within 11 minutes of the restart, put the Quakers in control, 4-2 up, at Blackwell Meadows.
Another loanee, Alex King, smashed in a screamer consolation in injury time.
