Boro have won the North Riding Senior Cup just two days after securing promotion to the National League North.
Scarborough Athletic beat Guisborough Town 3-0 at the LNER Community Stadium in York in front of over 1300 mostly Scarborough fans.
It was 0-0 at half time but in the second half, Boro upped the tempo and the goals followed with Brad Plant, Will Jarvis and Ryan Watson all getting on the scoresheet.
Speaking to Paddy after the final whistle, Manager Jono Greening said it wasn't their best perormance, joking about the playoff promotion celebrations on Monday taking their toll:
"Wasn't the best game of football in the world. Some of the players were probably still drunk after the other night! We stuck at it. We knew the 2nd half we'd get strong. We dominated the 2nd half. The last 10 minutes were a bit sloppy because Lewis Maloney came off injured and we were down to 10 men. We saw it out and got the 3rd goal. What a win. Great for the players, great for the fans and great for the club. Like they've done all season they stuck at it and in the end their quality showed".
Scarborough Athletic host their end of season awards night this Saturday.
