Scarborough Athletic Manager - Jono Greening - will not be on the touchline for Saturday's crucial match after receiving an FA suspension.
Scarborough Athletic say that Shortly before 5pm on Wednesday evening they were advised by the Football Association that Jonathan Greening is to serve a suspension from the touchline following an E3 Charge.
The club say
"The charge relates to the away fixture at Spennymoor Town in February 2023, when Jonathan Greening was dismissed at half time.
Subsequently, the FA have advised that the suspension begins with immediate effect until Scarborough Athletic have played one fixture at the relevant Category.
Consequently Jono will be suspended this evening from the touchline as well as our next fixture against Banbury United on Saturday."
That means that boro are playing tonight's North riding Senior Cup Final against South Park Rangers without Jono on the touchline at York's Community Stadium.
It means the manager will also be missing for Saturday's final game of the season against Banbury at the Flamingo Land Stadium. Boro need to win that game to ensure a place in the promotion play-offs.
The club say they are expecting a bumper crowd for the critical last game of the regular season against Banbury United on Saturday adding:
"We are advising and encouraging fans without season passes to book their tickets in advance to ensure entry as well as helping us on the day.
We are also advising that should ticket sales indicate that the ground will be near capacity then we may have to designate the fixture as all-ticket."
