Scarborough Athletic have bolstered their attacking options ahead of the new season by signing Mo Fadera, just hours after announcing the arrival of midfielder Luke Hall.
Scarborough Athletic have completed a busy day of transfer activity by announcing the signing of attacking player Mo Fadera, marking their second new arrival in just three hours ahead of the upcoming pre-season campaign.
The Seadogs confirmed that Fadera joins the club for the 2026/2027 season following the expiry of his contract at York City. He originally signed for York in the summer of 2024 from Garforth Town and brings valuable experience from across the National League North and Northern Premier League.
During his career, Fadera has enjoyed loan spells at Scunthorpe United, Worksop Town, and Guiseley. Capable of operating across various attacking positions, he has built a reputation as a quick, direct, and entertaining presence on the pitch.
Speaking after his first training session with his new teammates, Fadera said:
"It feels amazing. It’s a local club and it’s fan-owned as well. I play for the fans, so that’s very good."
On his decision to choose Scarborough Athletic, Fadera added:
"It’s an ambitious club. Hopefully this season we can get over the line."
When asked what supporters can expect to see from him, Fadera said:
"I’m an exciting player. I play for the fans and I’m entertaining, so I believe the fans will like me."
Fadera's arrival follows closely on the heels of another major announcement, as Scarborough Athletic earlier secured the signature of attacking midfielder Luke Hall. Hall joins the Seadogs after his contract expired at Woking Football Club.
Hall, who began his footballing journey in the Sheffield Wednesday academy and represented the England national team at Under-15 level, has also enjoyed successful stints at Worksop Town and Buxton.
Speaking about his decision to join the club, Hall said:
"I've played against the gaffer's teams a few times over the years and I've always liked how they play. I've also spoken to lads like Bailey Gooda and Mackenzie Maltby, and they both spoke so highly of the club. Even meeting a few of the lads already, it just seems like a really good environment."
Expressing his enthusiasm regarding the club's return to their home ground, Hall added:
"You can't really ask to come into a better situation. Everyone's going to be absolutely buzzing to be back home and I can't wait to see it rocking."
Discussing his own playing style, Hall explained:
"I like to think I'm exciting to watch. I try to get fans off their seats. I'm very direct, can play a few positions across the front line, and hopefully I'll bring goals and assists."
Sharing a message with the loyal Scarborough Athletic fanbase, Hall said:
"Get yourselves down all season. Hopefully it's going to be a special year, and all the lads will be giving it absolutely 100%."
Both new signings will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact as Scarborough Athletic begin their pre-season schedule this Saturday. The Seadogs will travel to the YoungGuns Arena to face Tadcaster Albion, with kick-off scheduled for 1pm.
The match will see Scarborough manager Jono Greening return to his former club, while Tadcaster are currently managed by ex-Seadog Ryan Qualter, who led the Brewers to the play-off final in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division last season.

Ahead of the weekend's footballing action, fans are invited to attend the club's official away kit launch this Friday evening. The event will take place at Scholar's Bar on Somerset Terrace in Scarborough, which sponsors the away shirt.
The launch event will feature live music from Take 2, with the new kit for the 2026/2027 season set to be officially revealed at 8pm. The club has advised supporters to arrive early to secure a space, noting that the event is strictly for adults. The away shirts will be available for purchase immediately following the reveal.
