For the first time in three years it's Fair day in Scalby today.
The fair started to celebrate the Queens Silver Jubilee in 1977. It became an annual event but missed the last two years due to the pandemic.
Publicity officer Michael Whiteley says they are expecting a busy afternoon in the village.
Michael says that after the two year enforced break, today's event is potentially the biggest yet with a record number of stall holders.
Road closures will be in place in Scalby from 11am this morning with the event open to the public from midday.
The provisional timetable of event is:

St Laurence's Church is open from 9am to 5pm for the flower festival themed on "The Twenties, from Princess to Queen". The festival will feature 23 beautiful arrangements depicting life in the 1920s when Princess Elizabeth was born and 2020s including the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations.
The Mothers' Union will be serving cream teas, cakes and drinks in the church rooms from 1pm to 4.30pm.
The street fair along the High Street and South Street will feature over 50 stalls, music, dancing, flower displays, art exhibition, birds of prey, children’s entertainment and rides.
Four Scalby Artists will also be hanging a small exhibition in the courtyard at Byways, on Low Street for one day only during Scalby Fair Day.
