Red Arrows Thrill Scarborough Crowds

The Red Arrows delighted the thousands looking on in Scarborough with their usual thrilling display.

The elite pilots first flew over Whitby, then quickly made the 22-mile trip south and arrived around 1.00pm for Armed Forces Day on Scarborough seafront:

These ladies were two of many enjoying the day and in particular the aerial display:

As well as the Red Arrows, a packed Armed Forces Day has featured the RAF Falcons parachute display team, military bands and parades, a number of military vehicles and vessels, as well as stalls all along Scarborough's South Bay.

As predicted thousands of visitors came out to take in the spectacle.
