North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information regarding a racially-aggravated public order incident that occurred on Bar Street in Scarborough.
The incident took place around 9:10 PM on the evening of Friday, August 29 when a couple was subjected to racist abuse by an unidentified suspect.
Police are particularly keen to locate a woman who intervened during the incident to assist the victims. She is described as having blonde hair and is estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old. Police are urging this witness to come forward, as her testimony could provide crucial insights into the case.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police stated,
“If you are the woman who helped the victims or if you witnessed the incident, we encourage you to reach out to us. Your information could be vital in our investigation.”
