Police Arrest Scarborough Teenagers

Scarborough Police officers arrested three boys on suspicion of an attempted theft of a motor vehicle and criminal damage in the early hours of Tuesday.

North Yorkshire Police received a report just after 1am on Tuesday morning of three males damaging a vehicle on Weaponess Valley Road.

Officers say:

"Upon our arrival, the males attempted their escape, however all three were arrested. A moped was recovered at the scene with damage consistent with an attempted theft.

As the investigation progresses, the three Scarborough boys, all aged 15-years-old, have been released on conditional bail, with curfew requirements and an area exclusion.

If you saw or heard anything in the area, please contact us. If you have dash cam, doorbell cam or CCTV in the area of Weaponess Valley Road and Trinity Walk, please review your footage to see if it captured anything.
