Officers are appealing for information following reports of a road traffic collision on the A166 at Fridaythorpe, on Sunday.
It is reported that at around 10.15am, a cyclist and two motorcycles were involved in a collision at the junction of Pefham Lane.
Emergency services attended, however, the cyclist, a 65-year-old woman, died at the scene. Her family have been informed and is currently being supported by specialist trained officers at this extremely difficult time.
Officers say they would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision, who has dashcam footage, or who witnessed the collision, to contact them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log 160 of 24 May.
