Their Northern League First Division opponents, managed by ex-Whitby Town defender Jamie Poole, impressed after the break.
They added two second-half goals to claim a 3-1 victory.
Pickering go to NPL East Beverley Town on Tuesday with a 7.45pm kick-off.
