A section of the track near Burniston has been closed.
North Yorkshire Council and Sustrans say that a section of the Scarborough to Whitby Cinder Track has been closed after being affected by flooding.
In a post on social media they say
"We are sorry to say we have had to close a small section of the path at Burniston (from the traffic lights by the garden centre to the staircase/ramp at Rock Lane) as the track has flooded. Please do not cross the barriers until we fix this issue"
