Health leaders in North Yorkshire say local hospitals are preparing to see an increase in the number of COVID patients needing hospital treatment.
Omicron cases in the county are lower than elsewhere in England but are currently doubling each day, it's thought the county is two to three weeks behind areas like London.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in the county says they are taking steps now in anticipation of an increase in cases:
