Firefighters were called to a blaze in Eastfield on Friday night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say crews were called to a fire in the open on Musham Bank Road.
Officers were on the scene around 9.15pm.
The incident was believed to have been set up deliberately.
The flames were extinguished using a hose reel jet.
