North Yorkshire's Mayor has said he'll put party politics aside for the sake of the county's interests.
Labour's David Skaith said the position inherited by the government last year was difficult financially.
But he pledged to work with the rest of the authority despite it being a Conservative-led council- claiming that politics won't be a factor:
