Woodsmith Mine owner, Anglo American has launched a new Cyber Security Apprenticeship programme in Scarborough.
Cyber security is one of the world’s fastest growing sectors in the world. With cyber attacks against businesses increasing almost daily, and an estimated growth in cyber security roles of 31% by 2029.
The company say that to help it to meet the challenges posed by cyber threats it is introducing a Cyber Security Apprenticeship Programme based at their Scarborough office.
In this first round they are recruiting 7 Cyber Security Apprentices to start in September 2022. The two-year apprenticeship will provide a range of experience and qualifications relevant for a variety of roles with Anglo American and the broader Cyber Security sector and will provide cyber security training from front line cyber security professionals.
The company are holding an information event on October 21st at their Scarborough offices. It will run from 6pm-7:30pm and places need to be booked by emailing cropnutrientscyberapprentices@angloamerican.com
Applications for the Level 4 Cyber Security Apprenticeship are open until 31 December 2021.
