The NHS in North Yorkshire is putting new services in place to try and deal with some of the issues that have been created by the pandemic.
The pressure on the NHS has caused backlogs for existing services and staffing pressures across the system.
Wendy Balmain from the north Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group says they are looking at new ways of working to relieve some of the pressures, including the introduction of a new 2 hour crisis response team.
Wendy says the new two response service is being introduced shortly and will help to reduce the number of people who need to be admitted to hospital.
