A North Yorkshire councillor calls for the chancellor to let the park authorities borrow money for housing schemes.
More needs to be done to give people in the North York Moors National park access to affordable housing.
That's the view of one North Yorkshire Councillor who says the County Council's Rural Commission Report fails to address the issue.
Councillor Stuart Parsons says it's a big issue that the park authorities can't currently solve on their own.
Councillor Parsons is calling on the county council to lobby the chancellor to allow the national parks to borrow money for affordable housing schemes, something they aren't currently allowed to do.
Stuart parsons thinks the government needs approaching to make the change.
