There have been further cases of the Delta variant of COVID 19 reported in North Yorkshire this week.
That's the new name for the variant first discovered in India, The Kent variant has been renamed Alpha.
Public Health Consultant Dr Victoria Turner says they are treating any news case as though it could be the more infectious variant.
The county's local resilience forum says the spread of the Delta variant in North Yorkshire isn't as bad as the situation being seen in some other parts of the country.
Richard Webb from North Yorkshire County Council says they are monitoring the situation.
