Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured during a disturbance outside a Whitby takeaway.
It happened In the early hours of Saturday Morning (18 June 2022), at about 1am, when there was a disturbance on Winsor Terrace in the town.
Police say a man suffered life-changing injuries as a result of being assaulted.
North Yorkshire Police have arrested five men in connection with the incident. They have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to get in touch.
