Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained fatal injuries in a road traffic collision on the B1238 Hull Road near Aldbrough at around 7.50pm on Thursday.
It is reported that the rider of a multi-coloured BMW S1000RR motorcycle was travelling south on Hull Road towards Flinton when for reasons not yet clear, it has left the road and come to a rest in a ditch.
Emergency services attended however the rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man, was discovered to have sadly died at the scene. His family have been informed and are currently being supported by specialist trained officers at this extremely difficult time.
Humberside Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision who has CCTV, dashcam footage or witnessed the collision to contact them on their non-emergency number 101 quoting log 489 of 30 April.
