Losing Away Day For Yorkshire Coast Football Sides

Whitby Town, Scarborough Athletic and Bridlington Town were all beaten away from home on Saturday.

Whitby Town lost a bad-tempered clash at Morpeth Town 2-0 to remain outside the play-off positions. A goal late in each half settled the tie which featured ten yellow cards and a late sending off for the home side. Brad Fewster had a consolation disallowed for offside late on.

One of Town's joint manager, Nathan Haslam, told WTFC's Media and Communications Officer, Liam Ryder, they didn't deserve anything out of the game:

Scarborough Athletic were also denied, despite a bright showing at title-chasing South Shields. The Mariners struck just before half-time with the only goal of the game.

Boro boss Jono Greening told Scarborough Athletic TV he was pleased with his side's performance despite the result:

Bridlington Town were beaten by the same score in NPL East, at Cleethorpes Town.

The hosts netted seven minutes before half-time to end Brid's three-match winning run.

Town player-manager Brett Agnew thought his team should've had at least one penalty:
