Over 2,000 fans watched Boro beat Darlington 1-0, amid a backdrop of uncertainty over the relaying of the new pitch.
Ahead of the game, Scarborough Chairman Trevor Bull appealed to locals to come and cheer the team on, to send out a message that the club is important to its community.
This after news broke last week that there is likely to be a major delay in the re-laying of the Scarborough Sports Village pitch after serious defects were found with the drainage system at the North Yorkshire Council-owned venue.
Many fans did hear the call, and with a large number of travelling fans from Darlington, it was a great atmosphere, especially for two sides who can't make the playoffs this season.
It was a fairly even first half, with both sides trying to play good football.
Boro had chances through a Sam Reed shot which went over the bar and a Harry Green shot, which goalkeeper Shea Connor saved with his foot.
Green joined the 100 club in the fixture, marking 100 appearances for Boro since joining from Whitby Town.
Darlington had a header saved by Whitley and two free kicks in quick succession caused Boro problems, the 2nd hitting the bar.
Lewis Maloney was replaced by Alex Wiles at half time, and Boro began to take control of the clash.
Colville went close with a header and Waldron shot from distance, his shot whistling just wide.
Midway through the 2nd half, the Quakers had sub Hazeem Bakre sent off for lunging out at the face of Boro's Man Of The Match Will Thornton.
Scarborough then scored what would be the only goal of an entertaining match, a cross from Waldron stroked into the bottom right of the Darlington net, commentary from Ant Taylor:
Boro had a great chance to double their lead when it was 3 on 1 inside the penalty area, but neither Colville, Waldron or Green managed to get the ball into the Darlo goal.
The Seadogs held out and secured three points, with hundreds of fans sticking around to cheer on the players on a lap of honour:
The attendance was 2,115 with 382 paying away fans.
The final league game of the 2024/25 season is at Peterborough Sports on Saturday 26th April, 3:00pm kick off.
