A section of the Cleveland way is affected.
Whitby Coastguard Rescue Team say they are investigating reports of a land slip between Whitby and Saltwick Bay.
The team are currently making their way to assess and potentially close this section of the Cleveland Way to ensure public safety.
The Coastguard are asking people to avoid the area and to stay back from the base of cliffs during poor weather as Cliff tops and certain paths are at risk of land slips and collapse.
They ask the public to report any dangers such as this to The Coastguard via 999.
