Crews from Scarborough, Filey, Pickering, Robin Hood’s Bay and Bridlington attended the fire in East Ayton last night.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue have posted an update about the incident. Their first call came in at 6:33pm last night:
Crews from Scarborough, Filey, Pickering, Robin Hood’s Bay and Bridlington (Humberside Fire Service) attended a fire in a commercial premises – 5 appliances and an Aerial Ladder in total. Hose reels and main jets were used to extinguish the fire. Crews will be revisiting this incident tomorrow (Monday) during daylight. Fire investigation will also take place in daylight.
Late last night, Betton Farm posted this update on their Facebook page:
Evening. Just to inform all our customers of the tea room. We have tonight had a fire in the kitchen. Tearoom will be closed with immediate effect. We will keep you all posted. Students still attend on Monday.
