There was an increase in the number of COVID fines issued in the borough last week.
Indoor Gatherings are still not allowed under the current COVID rules and the Scarborough Borough seems to be the worst place in North Yorkshire for people ignoring that rule.
Last week police issued three fines for indoor gatherings in York, four in Harrogate and twenty seven in Scarborough.
Chief Inspector Charlotte Bloxham says it's disappointing.
34 Fixed penalty notices were issued across North Yorkshire last week for COVID rule breaches, that's four times more than in the previous seven days.
Chief Inspector Bloxham says they will continue to enforce the COVID rules.
