Main roads including the A64 and A165 are described as trecherous in places by This Is The Coast listeners.
The A64 between Ganton and Scarborough is very slow this morning, as is the A165 north and south of Bridlington.
There is an accident near Speeton on the A165:

The A165 Filey bypass has been described as 'slippy' by callers and the village of Seamer is 'very icey' with some drivers turning back after setting out on their journeys.
One caller couldn't even open their car door as it was frozen solid.
There is a Met Office warning for ice until lunchtime today with wintry showers falling onto frozen surfaces.
This morning's issues appear to be a result of overnight showers of hail and sleet creating slushy conditions which have frozen overnight.
