Humberside Police 'Outstanding' According to Annual Assessment

The force was found to be 'outstanding' in six areas and 'good' in two others.

PEEL- which stands for police effectiveness, efficiency and legitimacy- is the regular assessment of police forces in England and Wales.

Jonathan Evison- Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside was delighted:

The Commissioner did caution that officers would not be resting on their laurels however:

We told you on Wednesday that the force had removed the need for a policing degree with Mr Evison saying most candidates now have a criminology degree anyway and the national policy would have ten percent of officers delayed from serving fully for three years.
