The Seasiders conceded an injury time goal against Guiseley to suffer their 4th league defeat in a row.
Jake Charles gave Whitby the lead on 14 minutes with a tidy first time strike from just inside the penalty area.
Man Of The Match Charles went close to doubling Whitby's lead in the 2nd half, his effort hitting the post.
But 2 late strikes from the visitors, including an injury time winner, broke the hearts of the Town fans at the Towbar Express Stadium.
Whitby are now 18th in the Nortthern Premier League.
Despite the loss, Manager Nathan Haslam heaped praise on his players and said the difference on the night was Guiseley's ability to bring on 5 subs:
