A memorial golf day has raised over £3,000 for Scarborough Hospital Children’s Ward
A golf day has been held in memory of local Scarborough resident Dick Hewitt, which has raised £3,006 for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity. The money raised will benefit the Children’s Ward at Scarborough Hospital.
Held at North Cliff Golf Club, the event was a family affair in which Dick’s sons and grandsons took part in the day, supported by local golfer Shaun Mancrief who arranged the event.
On the day guests enjoyed a raffle along with rounds of golf where each hole was kindly sponsored by local businesses, including a generous donation of £500 from Plaxtons Unite. Despite the unpredictable weather, attendees were blessed with some Scarborough sunshine, making the day even more memorable.
The team at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity say they would like to extend their thanks to Shaun and the Hewitt family for their exceptional support.
