A cohort of new officers have completed their 21-week initial training, and attended their passing out ceremony.
In September 2022, North Yorkshire Police welcomed a cohort of Police Constable Degree Apprentices, who were the first group of brand new officers to swear their oath to King Charles III.
The force says those trainees have now completed their 21-week initial training and attended their passing out ceremony last week.
After a well-earned week off, the 28 new officers will now deploy across the force area to their respective Professional Development Units to continue their training, get hands on experience and continue their demanding studies for their degree in Professional Policing Practice.
They include eight officers destined for York, five destined for Scarborough and 15 for County.
The passing out ceremony was held at North Yorkshire Police headquarters at Alverton Court in Northallerton on Friday 17 February 2023 and hosted by Chief Constable Lisa Winward.
The officers are pictured with Chief Constable Lisa Winward, lead trainers Kelly Titchener and PC Dan Hartley, and Inspector Lee Partridge.
