Fire engines from around the country that were sent to help tackle the Moorland fire near Fylingdales are to be sent home as the fire service say the incident is contained.
North Yorkshire Fire service will remain on site to tackle ongoing flare ups, but Chief Fire officer Jonathan Dyson says other agencies will now be stood down.
North Yorkshire's Chief Fire officer - Jonathan Dyson - says the counties fire-fighters will remain on scene to tackle ongoing flare ups but that the support from elsewhere in the country is no longer needed.
The Chief Fire Officer has thanked the other fire services around the country who supplied equipment and fire fighters to tackle the blaze.
