Scarborough fire crew released a trapped bird on a busy day of call-outs in the town.
The crew from Scarborough used small tools and crew power to release a herring gull which had become stuck in a chimney.
The incident occurred around 11.45am on Carlton Terrace.
Officers then attended Westbourne Grove just before 1.15pm to assist paramedics in transporting a patient from a property into an ambulance.
Then, just after 4pm, on Stepney Road, firefighters attended a report of an alarm sounding, on arrival this was found to be a malicious activation of a break glass point.
Officers later attended Norwood Street in Scarborough, around 2am, after reports of smoke in a block of flats. Firefighters forced entry to flat. The smoke in the property was caused by a pizza left cooking. Officers thoroughly ventilated the property.
