The MP for Filey has launched a best pub competition.
Kevin Hollinrake, whose patch also covers Malton and Thirsk, says it's a tough time for pubs with recent tax rises:
There's been a significant drop in numbers of public houses in the UK since 1980.
The number of pubs, in the country, has decreased from 69,000, 25 years ago, to just 46,805 today.
The Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, Levelling Up and Communities added:
