Humberside Fire and Rescue were faced with an electrical fire in a garage in the East Riding.
It happened just before 12.30pm on James Close in Withernsea.
Officers described it as an electrical fire inside a garage, which spread to the conservatory of a semi-detached bungalow.
They say two hose reels, a Thermal Image Camera, a short extension ladder and other small tools were used.
Firefighters isolated the electrical supply.
They added that the garage was 80% fire-damaged, the conservatory was 20% damaged.
Worryingly, a smoke detector was not activated.
