A Bridlington-based hospitality and catering lecturer has been recognised among the best in the country after winning a prestigious accolade at the Educate North Awards 2026.
A lecturer from East Riding College, which forms part of the wider TEC Partnership, has been officially recognised among the very best educators in the country.
Anthony Gascoigne, who serves as the Hospitality and Catering Team Leader based in Bridlington, has secured a highly sought-after national accolade at the Educate North Awards 2026.
Mr Gascoigne was presented with the ENA and CCUK Outstanding Contribution Award for Outstanding Teacher. In securing the top prize, he successfully stood out from a highly competitive field, overcoming more than 640 nominations from across the nation.
The prestigious award is designed to celebrate exceptional educators who make a significant and lasting difference to their students, their educational institution, and their wider industry. According to the college, the impact of his work has been widely described as transformative.
Through his dedicated leadership of the hospitality and catering programmes in Bridlington, he has inspired countless students to actively pursue professional careers in the sector.
