The Local Enterprise Partnership say there are fewer new claims for employment support but that the situation is still complicated.
The true effect of the lockdowns on the employment situation in North Yorkshire is still not clear according to the county's Local Enterprise Partnership.
Chair Helen Simpson says there are still 141,000 people on furlough in the region and that there have been a large numbers of redundancies over the last year.
Helen says the job losses seem to affected some groups more than others.
