Flamborough's RNLI Lifeboat responded to two incidents on Sunday.
Flamborough RNLI launched just before 2pm on Sunday following a report of 2 kayakers in trouble off West Scar.
Whilst on their way, volunteer crew were informed that the 2 people had made their way to safety although their kayak had been lost. Tasked with retrieving the kayak Lifeboat was stood down at 2:19 pm after nothing was sighted.
Whilst returning to station the lifeboat with volunteer crew went to the assistance of a small Rigid Inflatable Boat with 1 person on board. The person was trying to head around Flamborough head to get to Hornsea but deteriorating weather conditions prevented him from proceeding to his destination safely.
The RIB was beached at South landing from where the occupant continued his journey by road.
The Lifeboat and volunteer crew safely retuned to station at 3:03 pm when the Lifeboat and launching tractor were washed down, re fuelled and prepared for the next shout.
